Dr. McEntire is a pediatrician. Along with his family, he started Preferred Pediatrics in 1998. Dr. McEntire has been a pediatrician for 20 years.
Dr. McEntire is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. After serving as chief intern during his internship, he completed his Pediatric Residency at The Children’s Mercy Hospital. He is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been awarded Fellow Status by the AAP, the highest recognition for expertise in pediatrics. Dr. McEntire serves as a Professor of Pediatrics at KCU, helping to train the next generation of physicians.
He has published articles in the fields of pediatric hematology and oncology. Dr. McEntire has a strong interest in Neonatology and Sports Medicine. He also has a special interest in Type 1 Diabetes. His youngest daughter has Type 1 Diabetes.
Dr. McEntire is married with five children, two sons and three daughters. Dr. McEntire enjoys drag racing in his spare time.
